Nanoimprinting for lightingR&D product
Organic LED lighting is gathering much attention as the next generation in lighting following LEDs. One issue faced by organic LED lighting, however, is that reflection at the layer interface causes light to be trapped in the substrate interior, reducing the amount of light that shines on the front surface. The wavy, uneven structure (corrugated structure) that we developed diffracts and scatters light, which can improve light extraction efficiency (Figure 1).
We are engaged in comprehensive research and development ranging from the optical design and manufacture of nanometer-size structures using block copolymers, to continuous transfer techniques using roll-to-roll processing.
